Privacy Policy

Who we are
Liftr is a workout app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, made by Karan Pandya, who is responsible for your personal data under this policy (“we” and “us”). This policy covers the Liftr app and this website.
The short version
- Your workouts, health data, body data and Coach conversations stay on your device and in your own iCloud. We do not receive them.
- We use a few services to send reminders, manage subscriptions, measure our adverts and find bugs.
- We never sell your data.
Data that stays with you
Your workouts, body measurements, photos and Coach conversations are kept on your device and in your own iCloud account, which is private to you. We do not receive them. Coach uses Apple’s private AI processing, and your conversations are not sent to us or to any other third party.
If you allow it, Liftr reads from and writes to Apple Health on your device. You can change this at any time in the Health app. Apple Health data is never used for advertising and is never shared with third parties.
Services we use
Some features rely on outside services. Each one is listed below with what it is used for.
Workout reminders (Google Firebase)
If you turn on reminders, Liftr sends your reminder settings, basic app and device details and an account identifier based on your iCloud account to Google Firebase, so your reminders arrive at the right time. This does not include your name or email address.
Sign-ups and subscriptions (Google Firebase Analytics)
Liftr records a few anonymous events about setting up the app and subscribing, with basic device details, so we can measure sign-ups and subscriptions.
Advertising (TikTok)
The same events go to TikTok so we can see whether our adverts lead to sign-ups. Your device’s advertising identifier is included only if you allow tracking when the app asks. You can change this at any time in your device’s Settings, under Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Subscriptions (RevenueCat)
RevenueCat manages Liftr Pro subscriptions and receives an anonymous identifier and your purchase history. Payments are handled by Apple, and we never see your payment details.
Anonymous analytics and crash reports (PostHog)
If your version of the app includes anonymous analytics, it sends PostHog anonymous information about how the app is used, and crash reports, so we can find and fix bugs. This data is stored in the United States and never includes health data, workouts, body measurements, Coach conversations or anything you type. You can turn it off at any time in Settings.
Legal basis (EU and UK)
We rely on three legal bases: providing the features you ask for, such as reminders and subscriptions; our legitimate interests in keeping the app working, fixing problems and measuring whether our adverts work, which you can object to at any time; and your consent for advertising tracking, which you can withdraw in your device’s Settings.
Who receives data
Apple, Google, TikTok, RevenueCat and PostHog receive data only for the purposes above. Google also hosts this website. We never sell your data.
International transfers
Some of these providers are based in the United States, and data sent to them is protected by safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep data
- Anonymous analytics are kept for up to 2 years.
- Reminder data is kept until you ask us to delete it.
- Other providers keep data under their own policies.
- Data on your device and in your iCloud stays under your control.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or receive a copy of it, to restrict how it is used or to object to its use, and you can complain to your data protection authority.
You can delete your data and turn off analytics in Settings in the app. For anything else, email kpmbstudio@gmail.com. Because some data is anonymous, we may need your help to identify it.
Our website
liftr.site uses no cookies or analytics.
Children
Liftr is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age in your country.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
